The MentorNet E-Forum

If you are already signed in to the MentorNet Community, you may enter the E-Forum at any time.

What is the MentorNet E-Forum?

The MentorNet E-Forum is a web-based discussion group system designed to be a supportive and engaging place for Community members to discuss ideas and make connections. The E-Forum can provide a group mentoring experience that is complementary or stand-alone to the MentorNet One-on-One E-Mentoring Program.

How does it work?

MentorNet Community members sign in to the Community and click on the link for the E-Forum. After entering the E-Forum, members can click on any of the group topics and follow the threaded discussions, replying to posts or starting new threads if desired. New postings are conveniently highlighted and all the postings can be received from the groups by email. Since the groups are web-based, members can check in as often as desired without ever losing a piece of the conversation.

Who can participate?

The MentorNet E-Forum is open to all Community members, including MentorNet staff and representatives of MentorNet's sponsors and participating colleges and universities.

What are the topics?

The E-Forum contains topics that MentorNet has found to be of interest to participants in the past, including (but not limited to): Work/Life Balance, Time Management, Women's Issues, Job Search, Career Options in Biology and Diversity Issues. Members also have the opportunity to suggest topics and create groups of their own.

How do I sign up?

It's very easy: simply join the MentorNet Community and then sign in to the Community and follow the link to the E-Forum.
